Few months back we saw that Microsoft Social Network accidentally published its own version of Social Networking site Socl.com. They took down the site in few days but it seems they are back with their project renamed from Tulalip to socl (pronounced as Microsoft Social Network).
Socl is in fact not a new social networking site that wants to compete with Facebook, Twitter or Google Plus. Instead it is more like Pinterest where users can collect interesting stuffs from web at one place and share it with their friends.
Socl is mainly focused on students which define the social media usage. In Microsoft’s words:
So.cl combines social networking and search, to help people find and share interesting web pages in the way students do when they work together.
It gives a better understanding of what actually Microsoft Social Network is all about.
Sounds interesting Eh? If yes, then go on the Facebook log in option to get the beta invite.
Do let us know what you think about the prospect of Socl.
It’s good that now Microsoft Social Network is going to beta. I will definitely book a place for me.
